In the Footsteps of Slavery - Hiking of Le Morne Brabant (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Hike on the most emblematic mountain of Mauritius in the South Western coast and enjoy the superb sceneries.

Besides being a splendid and breathtaking landscape, Le Morne holds great importance in the history and memory of Mauritius. Immersed in the history of slavery, climbing this majestic rock was declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2008.

As we take elevation, we discover the mesmerising landscapes of the Southwest and unbelievable widely varied vegetation with some endemic species that are specific to this area. Small portions of the hike are performed on rocks and involve the use of the hands for stability.

This 4 hours hiking trail invites nature enthusiasts and adventurers for an energising and memorable hiking experience in a unique location loaded with history...
